Affirming the Roles of Women Ulema In Creating a Just Islamic Civilization
Starting from the congress event in 2017, KUPI has now become a movement that brings together individuals and institutions who believe in Islamic values, nationalism, humanity, and universality, with the basic paradigm of justice in the relations between men and women. The second congress will be held this year, 23-26 November in Semarang and Jepara, Central Java.
Approximately 1200 participants and observers from the KUPI network in Indonesia and various countries will attend the 2nd KUPI Congress on 24-26 November 2022 at the Hasyim Asy'ari Islamic Boarding School Jepara, Central Java. A number of halaqah and religious deliberations discussing crucial issues will color this second congress
The international conference as part of the agenda of the 2nd KUPI Congress will present approximately 500 national and international participants to read positive traces of women's ulema (interfaith) in promoting gender equality, women's human rights and inclusive theology. The conference will take place on November 23, 2022 at UIN Walisongo, Semarang, Central Java
